Charity

Charity is a huge part of our business model at ITVET. We encourage our team to get involved in local and national charity initiatives and make it part of their everyday life. As a company, we invest heavily in our local community and build strong relationships with our charity partners.

ITVET & voluntary work

At ITVET, we care about more than just profit. We want to help make the world a better place. This is who we are. It’s ingrained into our everyday work life.

We encourage our whole team to get involved and give back to their local community. Since many volunteering activities take place during the workday, we offer our employees three paid volunteering days per year to use as they wish. Some of the activities our team has carried out include working at the animal rescue centre, visiting care home residents, delivering Christmas hampers, and painting local community centres.

We believe volunteering can help employees connect with other individuals, learn new skills, and feel happier and healthier. This is a win-win for everyone.

12 Days of Giving

EVERY DECEMBER on the countdown to Christmas we host our annual ‘12 Days of Giving’ initiative. At ITVET, we believe in giving back to our community and our whole team loves to get involved through donations, volunteering, and fundraising. In the past, we’ve helped our local food bank, dropped off chocolate gifts to our hard-working pharmacists, donated pet food to the animal shelter, and much more.

We had a lovely time at our Christmas meal at the Coach & Horses. We couldn’t have held the event without the kind sponsorship of ITVET who provided our transport with Anita’s Coaches!

We were delighted to support and help our client JLL to raise money for homeless and children’s charities.

Our CSR team meets regularly to drive our community efforts:

  • Coordinates our Laptops for Schools initiative
  • Organises community events like Stortford Heroes Party in the Park
  • Gets involved with litter picking
  • Coordinates charity initiatives like the 12 Days of Giving
  • Responds to charity and community requests in the business such as the local homeless night shelter renovation
  • Comes up with creative CSR ideas
  • Works closely with our local community partners

Charity has been a central component of my time at ITVET. There are always opportunities to get involved with the wider team to make a real difference to our local community. Since starting, I have litter picked, helped plan the Party in the Park event, and got involved with the Christmas initiative “12 Days of Giving”. This is encouraged by the culture of ITVET and makes my job much more rewarding.
